The Academic Journal of Medical Sciences (AJMS) offers an optional open access publication route.
Authors who choose to publish their articles as open access are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC)
only after the manuscript has been finally accepted for publication.

APC Amount

The current APC for open access publication in AJMS is:

200 Euro (250 USD) per accepted article.

No Submission or Processing Fees

AJMS does not charge any fees for:

• Manuscript submission
• Initial editorial screening
• Peer review
• Standard publication in the non–open access model

Independence of Editorial Decision

The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is based solely on scientific merit, originality,
methodological quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
The choice to publish under the open access option and the APC payment do not influence
the peer review or editorial decision-making process.

Payment and Invoicing

After final acceptance, authors who select the open access option will receive an invoice with payment instructions.
Payment must be completed before the article is published in open access format.
Details regarding payment methods will be provided by the editorial office.

Waivers and Discounts

At present, AJMS does not offer routine APC waivers or discounts.
Exceptional cases may be considered at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
Authors facing financial constraints may contact the editorial office to discuss their situation.
