The Academic Journal of Medical Sciences (AJMS) is committed to promoting the global exchange of scientific knowledge.
To support this mission, AJMS offers an optional open access publication route that allows authors to make
their articles freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication.
Open Access Model
AJMS operates under a hybrid open access model. Authors may choose between:
- Traditional Subscription-Based Access – Articles are accessible to subscribers and institutional users.
- Open Access Publication – Articles are freely accessible to all readers without subscription barriers.
Licensing and Copyright
Open access articles published in AJMS are licensed under the
Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).
This license permits:
- Sharing and redistribution of the article in any medium or format
- Commercial and non-commercial use
Provided that:
- Proper credit is given to the original authors and AJMS
- No modifications or derivative works are made
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Authors choosing the open access option are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC)
only after final acceptance.
Details regarding APCs are provided on the dedicated
APC Information page.
Independence of Peer Review
The choice to publish under the open access option does not influence the editorial or peer review process.
All manuscripts undergo the same rigorous single-blind peer review, regardless of the publication model selected.
Archiving and Long-Term Accessibility
Open access articles are permanently available on the AJMS website and may be archived in institutional repositories,
digital libraries, or personal collections, provided the CC BY-ND 4.0 license terms are followed.
