Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system at
https://ajms1.medscience.pw/submission/.
Hard-copy submissions are not accepted. First-time users must register on the platform; registration is free.
Authors may track their submissions using their login credentials. Technical assistance is available at
technicalsupport@ajms.site.
Types of Manuscripts
AJMS accepts submissions in the following categories:
Original Articles, Review Articles, Editorials, Case Reports, Position Papers, Consensus Statements,
Special Commentaries, Brief Reports, Letters to the Editor, and Photo Clinics.
Manuscripts from all medical and allied health disciplines are welcome.
General Information
AJMS publishes original research and scholarly work that contributes to advancements in medicine,
clinical practice, and allied health sciences. Submitted manuscripts must represent original work
not published or under consideration elsewhere.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must confirm that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published
or submitted elsewhere. Abstracts presented at scientific meetings are not considered prior publication
but must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments section.
Authorship must be based on substantial contributions to conception or design, data acquisition or analysis,
drafting or revising the manuscript, final approval, and accountability for the integrity of the work.
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and ensuring all revisions are completed.
Human and Animal Rights
Studies involving human subjects require documented ethics approval and informed consent.
Animal studies must comply with international standards for laboratory animal care.
Statements regarding ethics approval and consent must appear in the Methods section.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial, personal, academic, or political conflicts of interest.
AJMS recommends using the ICMJE Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form.
Copyright
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material used in their manuscript.
Permission letters must be submitted with the manuscript.
Requirements for Different Types of Articles
Original Articles: Structured abstract, 3–5 keywords, introduction, methods, results,
discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments, references (15–40), max 3500 words, up to 4 tables and 4 figures.
Clinical Trials: Same as original articles; CONSORT flow diagram required;
trial registration number must be included.
Brief Reports: Non-structured abstract, max 2000 words, 10–15 references,
up to 2 tables/figures.
Case Reports: Non-structured abstract, introduction, case presentation, discussion,
conclusion, 5–10 references, up to 1 table and 3 figures; informed consent required.
Review Articles: Narrative reviews up to 4500 words with ≥60 references;
systematic reviews must follow PRISMA or MOOSE guidelines.
Letters to the Editor: Max 750 words, up to 5 references.
Photo Clinics: 1–2 high-quality images with a description up to 500 words.
Paper Preparation
Cover Letter: Must explain the rationale for the study and confirm exclusivity of submission.
Title Page: Includes title, authors’ names, affiliations, running title,
and corresponding author details.
Abstract: Structured for original articles (max 250 words); non-structured for other types.
Keywords: 3–5 MeSH terms.
Introduction: Background, gaps, and study objectives.
Methods: Detailed description of study design, participants, procedures,
and statistical analysis; follow CONSORT, STROBE, STARD, PRISMA, or MOOSE as appropriate.
Results: Presented clearly with tables and figures.
Discussion: Interpretation of findings, comparison with literature,
limitations, implications.
Conclusion: Clear statement of main findings and significance.
References: Vancouver style, numbered in order of appearance.
Language and Style
Manuscripts must be written in clear American or British English.
Non-native speakers are encouraged to seek language editing support.
Abbreviations should be defined at first use. The editorial office may edit manuscripts for clarity and style.
Correction of Errata
AJMS publishes errata to correct factual errors in published articles.
